SUMMARY:TECs – «Intimate partner violence experiences among Middle Eastern immigrant women during their perinatal period»
DESCRIPTION:(N.B., la présentation sera en anglais seulement)\nManal Fseifes, RN, M.Ed., PhDc, is a PhD candidate in the School of Nursing at the University of Ottawa, as well as a Dempsey women shelter supervisor, ESL teacher and past Crisis and counselling Coordinator at Immigrant Women services Ottawa.\nThrough her work with abused immigrant women, she was inspired to pursue her PhD and to explore the intimate partner violence experiences of Middle Eastern immigrant women during their perinatal period. She is particularly interested in community nursing and vulnerable populations research including HIV infected women, abused women, and children who witness abuse. \nAs part of her PhD journey at the University of Ottawa, she hopes to further research to tailor culturally sensitive services for immigrant women and improve their quality of life.\n—————————————————————————————————————————————-\nLes rencontres mensuelles Travaux En Cours (TECs) sont axées sur les besoins de la communauté étudiante.  Lors de ces sessions, il y a soit une présentation ou une session de partage d’idées liées au sujet d’étude de l’élève.   Par la suite, les participants peuvent fournir une rétroaction.\nN.b.: Cette présentation aura lieu en ligne sur Zoom.  Si vous êtes intéressé à participer, veuillez envoyer un courriel à l’adresse ci-dessous.\nLes rencontres se tiennent le dernier mercredi de chaque mois, à moins qu’il y ait une indication contraire.
