SUMMARY:WIPs – Barriers and Facilitators to Parental Involvement in Healthy Newborns’ Pain Management: A Scoping Review
DESCRIPTION:Ligyana Candido is a Brazilian Registered Pediatric Nurse interested in improving children’s pain management practices. She is currently a PhD Candidate at the University of Ottawa, Canada, supervised by Drs. Paula Forgeron and Denise Harrison. Her doctoral research focuses on understanding the factors influencing parental involvement in healthy newborns’ pain management.\nLigyana obtained a Master of Health Science Degree at the University of São Paulo, Brazil, where she investigated the effectiveness of a parent-targeted video on the use of breastfeeding, skin-to-skin care, and sweet solutions during newborn screening tests.\n \n
