SUMMARY:March 27, 2023 – Community of Practice (CoP)
DESCRIPTION:Publication is an important aspect of your academic and career journey, but the road to publication often seems complicated for graduate students. In this session, we will talk about publication processes such as recognizing predatory journals, negotiating authorship, responding to feedback from reviewers and dealing with rejections. We will also talk about finding relevant conferences, preparing for oral and poster presentations and networking with scholars and researchers.\nWe have decided to dedicate 20 minutes of the session to revisit previous topics (relationship with supervisor(s), changing your research direction, paradigm, or topic) to help students who missed some of the meetings share their questions and concerns with the group and receive feedback.\nWe look forward to seeing you!\nIf you wish to attend, please contact Liquaa Wazni (lwazni@uottawa.ca ( mailto:lwazni@uottawa.ca )) or Hamze Al-Chami (malchami@uottawa.ca ( mailto:malchami@uottawa.ca )) to receive the meeting link.\n
