Title: The Landscape of Regulated Nursing in 2021: Moving Forward Toward Meaningful Change
Dr. Joan Almost is an Associate Professor in the School of Nursing at Queens University, and Scholar in Residence with the Canadian Nurses Association. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing from Western University, and her PhD from the University of Toronto. Her research program focuses on health services research in the area of quality practice environments and she has lead several research projects with funding from CIHR, Ministry of Health, and Ministry of Labour. In February 2021, she released a sentinel report sponsored by the Canadian Nurses Association entitled Regulated Nursing in Canada: The Landscape in 2021.
Works In Progress (WIPs) meetings are monthly student/trainee focused events featuring a formal presentation or a brainstorming session around a topic of study.
